History and curiosity of this item:
Throne recovered near the castle Catajo – Battaglia Terme (Padua – Italy). The Catajo castle was built by the powerful family of Obizzi who fought as mercenaries for all the dominions of the period, by the Scalieri of Verona, the Carraresi of Padua, also victorious in the famous battle of Lepanto in 1571. The main room still has the paintings (frescoes) by Gian Battista Zelotti, a pupil of Veronese, which celebrate the exploits of Obizzi.
